Elected Officials
Bermuda Run has a Council-Manager form of government with a Mayor chosen to guide the Town in accomplishing its goals. The Town is divided into five districts, each with its own council representative, elected for a four year term only by the citizens of that district. The Mayor is elected by the entire Town electorate at large. The Town Council, at regular or special Town Meetings, is empowered with the vote on all municipal matters - one vote per district. The Mayor conducts each Council meeting, which are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 7 pm, and has no vote except in case of a tie by the Council. To keep continuity on the Council, three are elected at one election, two at the alternate next election two years later. The Mayor is elected for a four-year term. The Council selects and hires the Town Manager and that manager reports to the Town Council.
